The Range

This is the old firing range on the outskirts of my hometown. The buildings just in shot to the left of the sign was home to the Highlanders regiment, the big building to the right is the local Health Centre . The regiment are now based in barracks in Inverness. The buildings are still used, but by the Army Cadets. Back in its day, every Saturday you would hear the "pop" of Soldiers rifles. The range still has the old stone bunkers where they would raise the metal targets, although they are now derelict.
