Great shot and well spotted. It looks like a upsidedown rainbow and I've seen one before in print. Very Happy

We had a full halo and parhelia around lunchtime, though I think this is a circumzenithal arc

Yes I think your right. Unfortunately there are lower clouds impairing it's clarity. it arises from refraction of sunlight through horizontally-oriented ice crystals rather than droplets of rain

still a nice capture. photography is as much about 'capturing' the image as 'creating' it and you've done well given the conditions
