OK, I know there's a lack of foreground, but does the rest work? Better placement of comp, yes. To much cranking the handles? all pointers are welcomed. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers

I love your scenery Jan...the cloud is a great focal point especially with the casting of the shadow on t he land. I, in my very humble opinion, think perhaps it need a little more punch. Perhaps with curves and contrast. But keep in mind, that is my very limited skill and opinion that I say that.

That's the kind of feedback I'm looking for and I greatly appreciate you humble honesty. I might be afraid of cranking it up too much and ending up with a more unnatural look to it!?

Can we see a colour version I like B&W pictures but I think this may be more striking in colour...for me ..

Nice one Jan but I agree with Dave that this may work better in colour. You have some good tones going there but the foreground seems a little lost and colour may help that.

maybe crop the foreground to just below te cloud shadow would work best in b&W - for the full picture - maybe colour

I like the way to road leads up to the cloud - which is a powerful focal point of this image

I too struggle with my black & white shots Jan but we have to try, how else will we know if they will work. I like this and I would like to see it in colour also.

Nice distance, Jan, I think I'd like to see the colour version as well.

This one works well for me Jan, even though the colour version works just as well. Nice tones, strong lead-in and great focal points in the cloud and the hills beneath it. Funny how different shots mean different things to different people - just goes to show that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Cheers, Andrew.
