"Flat Hour"

I was on the Southbank and had just tweeted to the effect that it was that part of the day when the sun ceases to have any effect leaving everything looking flat and featureless. Then I walked a bit further coming towards the Tower Bridge when the sun thought it would be good to prove me wrong!
