I think you've captured the conkers very well H. I'm not sure that the grey reflective surface works with them: I think maybe another colour and/or surface type would work better,

I quite like it as it is. Is it a ring flash? I bought one recently but have not tried it out yet.

I tried it on white and it didn't work at all. Not ring flash TT, have a look at the same picture on flickr!, I've put all the lighting info on that - flickr! name Hinfrance.
