If I were a lady, an elephant would not turn its back on me like that. I had my camera in my hand, so what else could I do? It was asking for it. And that old song about the elephant's bottom sprang to mind immediately. (And Dutch people often pronounce 'third' as 'turd' so there was nothing else I could do. The whole thing was fully formed in my - dirty? - mind without even thinking about it.)
