Middleham is a lovely village to stay in if you like racehorses. So many trainers are based there it is known as the Newmasrket of the North and gateways in the viallge open up to reveal a huge stable. As you walk through the viallge you`ll often be passed by the stable lads / girls taking their charges to the gallops. Great sight
