Invasion Force

Half my cabbage crop lost to these little bleeders. About 12 munching away. Managed to put netting over and save the rest. Should've done that to start with but we have never had Cabbage Whites before.....

Larvae of the Large white butterfly. A common butterfly found in a variety of habitats particularly gardens and allotments where cabbages are grown

I didn't destroy them, I netted my remaining cabbages and pulled up the ones with these wee beasties on and placed them away from the veg patch.

Well done. They are food for birds this is why the butterflies produce so many. All part of the ecosystem
