I like the balance of levels within the subject as the interplay of the hair and waves on the jersey maintain additional interest in detail  Although I feel over all, that it needs a little hint of background 'atmosphere' of a live performance. Nice shot

What do you think of it now Reinardina?
Thanks Andy. To be honest, there was not much of a background, as the show was performed in a relatively empty shopping centre. (The weather was atrocious.) But I know what you mean with background atmosphere. In this case it is purely a portrait of the artist.

Alan, I like it very much. I would not have done it, if you had not encouraged me. A new road to wander into on occasion. Following the leader?

Still not sure on this.

I think some Cold has entered the shot now and Sad seems to have Hardened (on the solid black) to almost an arrogant stare. I connect more with the original colour shot

OB and Andy. From a 'natural' image, this has changed to an artificial one; could almost be a poster for the mime show. And yes, the stare has become almost scary. In short, it has become a totally different image, and I like both. Will have a go at blurring the background of the colour image, and see what that does.

It is an excellent original shot with plenty of possibilities, and you will get quite a few excellent variations the more you experiment. Mono colour tints or hues are another avenue  As the subject is a clown even a tryptitch of moods using colour as the switch mechanism may work well too
