On Guard

On May 31st 2011 a sperm whale Weighing 20+tes and 44ft in length was found beached at Redcar. Despite efforts to help it back into the water he died 0905hrs the same day
He had to be left until the next day for tests to be carried out to establish cause of death and reason for beaching.

Very sad. Springwatch said it's a young male and happens quite often, due to them entering the north sea by mistake, and as they relie on their food for water, with no squids in the North Sea, they die of Dehydration. Crying or Very sad
