Soft gaze

This is a traditional masquerade character from Trinidad's carnival. I really like the traditional characters and particularly the devils because they get so much into their characters and really work the crowd.
This picture is very soft as the subject moved at a key point but I think it works all the same. An overlaid texture might improve it, to give the eye something to focus on - what do you think?
