Love the combination of First Nation paraphernalia and the red uniform which must, I assume, come from the military uniforms of the time. Great portrait.

Thanks R. No it`s not a uniform but his first nation chief costume. All you see on him are his First Nation regalia - except the leather driving gloves !

My mistake. What I can see of it, reminded me very much of the uniforms of the past, so assumed it was based on those.
