Round the world race clippers assembling at Tower Bridge before setting off the next day. I didn't know they were going to be there when I took myself off up to London for the day

They used to start and finish in Southampton, and I photographed the whole event. It was such a success that the city was offered the chance to do it again this year, and the ruddy council turned down the offer . Said they could not raise the £500.000 it would cost to organise it. If you ever want to find a short sighted city council, look no further!
