I really like the general structure in composition, but the dark burned sky somehow distracts and turns me off from enjoying the beauty of the waves and beach

Thanks Beaux I agree, I went a little over the top, I think I intended it to be B&W and in colour it does not work

For me, whether B&W or colour, some heavy burns work and others don't (more especially when its working against the angles of light in the imagery).
