always a fine line for us non locals as to what constitutes manningtree and what constitutes mistley.
for those of us from Suffolk, i think it is left at the roundabout after the railway bridge to mistley and straight over the roundabout to manningtree

but open to correction!

but some great photography to be had in the area for those who are prepared to visit...

I noticed a big pile of leaves under my apple tree, perhaps they could be storm related.

Heaviest rain I've ever seen.  Really.

I was in Ashford Designer Outlet (really - don't ask).  You can see some of the awesome majesty of this structure here.  I wasn't sure if the canopy was going to take off or get crushed by the weight of water.  I had to hide in a pasty shop because it was too wet to consider running the 50 yards to the car.

The 15 foot high apparently stone "sculptures" on the roundabout were rocking back and forward.  (I think they are actually hollow).

I was working at the Ashford International Hotel until about 1 am and was worried at one point I wouldn't make it home.

Well I wont tease and tell you all its been blazing sunshine and 35 degrees here for the past two weeks  :P On the downside of that we have just been informed that we are in the top 50 areas of Australia that is likely to burn this summer and when our local CFA knock on our door and tell us to leave we have no choice in staying anymore. Luckily cameras and photo backup harddrive are right near the front door so easy to grab on the way out............getting three cats in the car in short notice might be another matter though  :-\
