There are a number of factors that affect BB speed. Distance from the exchange being the main, though internal wiring can affect it, especially if it's low grade. ISP choice shouldn't make a major difference here.

If it's available - and the roll-out is increasing - comes with much higher upload speeds, upto 10mb/s and costs the same as standard broadband.

You on ADSL?  That's what the A stands for....

I'm not referring to what I'm on, but the Fiber Optics they are trying to flog me. If they allowed me to upload faster then I might be interested, but I'm not paying extra for the same upload speed.

Seem to be getting similar results at all times of the day. Far better than I was getting on both Sky and Virgin before.
