I've been out shooting lots and lots of photographs, trying to capture 'penetrating light.'
The best ones were of a ray of sunshine falling on a yellow leaf. Then I realised, the light had already penetrated the shade, to fall on the leaf. Penetrated light, rather than penetrating.
So I went back to my night shot of the moon trying to penetrate some light cloud. With a bit of a struggle, I dragged the moon forward and made it visible.
Just in case this is considered cheating, I point to the lights of the houses on the hill that
are penetrating the dark! Hence the title!
I am in with:
Full Moon over the House on the Hill.
