  Does anyone have any recomendations for getting film developed and scanned. Bearing in mind that there is scanning and there is scanning!

I use the second one Jonathan posted for my film and scans. I scan my own 35mm & get them to process the film. With 120 they process the film and scan it for me onto a CD.

I have found the scans to be a bit variable, one film had quite a bit of dust & hairs on the scans, took a while to remove them in PS.

Ilford - now that's a name from the past. 

Really? I'm looking at a roll of Ilford 35 mm black and white sitting on my desk right now. Going to plunk it in my Nikon FE shortly.

A local hock shop /pawn broker / second hand store nearby has one of these right now.  I did not notice how much they want for it though.

Graham I went into the local "proper" camera shop that detail almost entirely in film cameras and equipment (http://www.mrcad.co.uk/shop/home.php) and asked them, they pointed me in the direction of a local lab. Worth a try that way you can have a bit of a relationship with them.
