Great Spotted Woodpecker drumming out his message to another in the next tree, which I couldn't spot.

The Grey Herons have arrived back for breeding, about five weeks early, and I counted over twenty today.

Spotted a couple of Treecreepers on the same tree today, shame the sun had gone in.

While watching the Treecreepers this Great spotted Woodpecker appeared, so followed him from tree to tree , getting this when the sun reappeared.

Two things are infinite : the universe and human stupidity; I'm not sure about the universe

Lovely photos, and I think you're all so clever knowing what kind of birds they are.

Another couple of photos.

Robin waiting for me to get some food out.

Male Swan who landed on the ice and didn't know what was happening. He didn't want to stand up on the ice, so used his feet to push himself to the water's edge.
