Firstly thanks Oldboy for setting the competition poll up..   Funeral went as well as can be expected and we have had the central heating back on now since monday evening so the house is drying & warming up nicely now. Only have one humidifier working in the garage now so we should be able to get started with the repairs & decoration next week.... and thanks to all for the well wishes. Irv I will try to find the phone number you asked for tomorrow. Off the the pub now for a few pints..   :legit:

Things are beginning to happen now. The house has been declared " Dry " and a " Dry certificate " has been issued so work on the repairs can begin.
My father in Laws funeral went as well as could be expected but there was a hick-up with his insurance that covered his costs. Nothing we could do about that until after Christmas but after a lot of phone calls, and letters showing proof that the policy was up to date they eventually paid up.

We are now in the process of calculating the cost of the loss of our personal effects from the burst pipe, the last thing to be agreed by the loss adjuster. Things have been draging a bit but Christmas got in the way.... :legit:

Glad things are getting better and been sorted out. Perhaps this is the year to pick yourself up, dust yourself down and begin to enjoy life again.
