It depends on what you mean by post edit?

Do you mean "work flow" which for me is about importing images and quickly key wording them, making odd changes such as crop, exposure adjustment, quick levels tweak and saving them in some catalogue whilst deleting what is clearly the dross or do you mean full "photo shopping" in the manner of Wayne D where a picture is heavily processed to great effect to turn an average picture into a stunning picture?

All of my work is now done in Adobe Light Room and would probably come under "work flow" - and that huge iMac screen doesn't half make it easy and a pleasure to do.
Actually that screen will help your photography by highlighting in detail 'flaws' in your pictures. That said - it will also show some 'duffers' to be little gems.

So , over to you for further info...

My current flow can be-
off the card as RAW onto pc
view all in irfanview and delete obvious duffers.
leave for at least 24hrs
review, delete a few more or even save 1 or 2 as goers
import all into lightroom
play with some presets and try and apply "auto" settings to some
if I like the result save in same folder as either jpeg or tiff
or I may have a play in elements or CS2 doing a bit of cloning and cropping
or I import to flikr and put borders/text onto them
or I do nothing.

I dont want to spend hours and hours at the pc. I have a few books for CS2 and lightroom and tried sitting with them and the pc but got bored shitless within 10 mins

DMT & Dave enjoy your holiday when you go; it's OK for some just having to paying for flights!!!!! I have only been to Turkey once way back in the early eighties a beautiful country and very green to say how hot it is.

Alfonso hope you find some work, I know the feeling one of the reason I have been down in London over the past twelve months no work here in the Northwest, luckily I have secured a six possibly eight months contract back in the Northwest.

Jan I have also just upgraded from my trusted D200 to the D700 still playing, I have no ideas regarding online courses but good luck with it.

My girls are occupying the only family computer, with their teen software, therefore a late reply.
I'm really looking forward to that iMac!
My precious..!

I'm thinking of photoshop adjustments like Wayne and others, but also need to improve on my "work flow", backup procedures and organizing.
I'll have to re evaluate the whole process, when obtaining the iMac, Elements 8.0 (Mac) and the backup unit.
Start fresh - so to speak.
