Well done Reinardina, I knew this would win once all of the other entries were in. It (for me) is your best image that I can remember seeing. . Can't fault it, composition, lighting, colours, atmosphere. It had everything. Extremely well done.

My extremely strict tutor, much preferred the colour version to the mono one, but still had some minor critique. So still things to learn.

I personally don't think a mono version would have the same impact. Its the soft, muted colours that are its feature

The mono version is a totally different beast (and never intended for the comp), but much appreciated by other photographers; in some cases preferred by photographers.

OB, I didn't know about the competition, and with my luck, the opportunity would always come áfter the closing date. Besides, I think the shortlisted ones are way better than mine.

Now, I'd better set up the new challenge, as I have to go out this morning. (With camera.)
