Not sure if this will work, its a link to some video of the kite climbing into the sky above Aberlady.

Or this one on Facebook

Clicking on one of the links within the text will take you there, I don't know how to edit it.
Hi, "Guest" long time no see, how are you

Hinfrance

I'm getting 'video unavailable' from bookface.

I'm getting

"Due to privacy settings, not everyone can see this video.  Log in to Facebook if you have permission."

rksmith51

I've changed the privacy to public if you want to try again  :)
Hi, "Guest" long time no see, how are you

Mick

Still getting the same privacy settings message Bob.  ???

Hinfrance

Just had another go - still getting not available - removed or privacy settings (I'm précising here)

Have you considered Youtube? ;)

I've edited your first post, and embedded the vid.  ;)

Hinfrance

Very interesting, if a little too MTV camera technique for my tastes ;)

Excellent stuff Bob, you look like you are having so much fun with this.

That's the way I move after having a few drams!  ::)

Now if you could fit a couple of giroscopes.....

Well done.

Thanks for all the interest guys  :).

If you have a point and shoot canon, I use the IXUS 980 for kite flying, there is some software that you may be interested in that runs scripts to control the shutter etc.
I now use a program called SDM to take any number of still shots, then switch to video mode take more stills zoomed in, take more video.... well you get the idea. This could be used for time laps, security etc as well as KAP.

The software is free and as such there is no support other than the forums, but if you have a little basic programing you will get it easily.
Here are a few links to get you going if you want to play with it or have some use, it also gives you things like faster and slower shutter speeds, RAW and loads more that Canon decided not to give you access to.

Whoo, I feel a tad seasick.  I think I'll stick to the still shots. :)

Looks like great fun, and I see that the chap at the DIY photography web site is getting into it now as well: http://www.diyphotography.net/introduction-to-kite-aerial-photography-kap
