Paul, those steps are in a small back alley in Issigeac: it's the same little house that has the sculptured ear on the wall and also a rather random hand carved by the door jamb for some reason.

Wow, a very lucky and hurried snapshot. I'm surprised it got even one vote - and also very pleased of course. (My vote went to the stairs in Bergen, but it was a close call between that and the other joint winner, and I did like both the others as well). Well done to everyone who entered. Now to give a little thought to the next comp.
