Music - Weekly competition 18th to 24th June CHAT thread

For this week's competition I thought I might give you chance to do something a little different.

I have chosen the theme of Music. This can be anything that you like that has music in the photo BUT I would like to see something a bit different. I really enjoyed the Magazine Cover competition we had a few months ago. Rather than repeat that I would like to see some innovative PP work on your photo (if you want to). Maybe a fancy border with musical notes, maybe a semi transparent background of a sheet of music. Put your thinking caps on and see what you can come up with but, of course, straight photographs are perfectly acceptable.

Pictures to be taken between 00.01am Monday 18th June 2012 to 23:59 Sunday 24th  June 2012 .
Pictures to be posted in the entries thread no later than 23.59pm Monday 25th June 2012.
Poll will be up Tuesday 26th June May 2012.
Winner to be announced Saturday 30th  June 2012.

Post a topic on the Sunday following your declared win
Create an entries thread
Create a chat thread
Create a poll for that weeks comp and declare the winner on the Saturday
(if for any reason there is a problem and no subject is posted by the winner by Monday night admin will advise second place winner to post the topic asap, do the poll etc)

In case of a tie, the first entry posted wins.

The picture is in the right album in the gallery, the only thing you need to do extra is copy the "BBCode full size" from the bottom of the album view of your picture and paste it into whatever thread you want it to appear.

I've done this for you in the entry thread.

thanks h. Cant wait. Had lots going on of late especially sons wedding and really really need the break. I know it wont happen but if by any miracles i pull votes and win haha can whoever comes second o the honours as im away?

A tough remit this week, so I'm in with an experimental piece - Fanfare (Wall of Sound) - after a delightful evening of Choral and French Horn.

It has a blue colour but it's so weak you only see brightness.

No entry from me, I had to spend Sat and Sun in the garden as I think this is the first weekend in June when it has not been raining!!

Took a few shots at the weekend that I hoped I`d have time to fit together. Ended up playing too long when I should have been doing other things. Too long mainbly cos I forget how bad I am at photoshop rather than having a skill level good enough to achieve anything as special as Colin was seeking!!! Used one of the masks I bought in venice and some sheet music shot together with my new little mp3 player. I use headphones myself but they looked a little small ! The "head of music"  is it`s recurring theme.

Scorching here in tenerife heatwave. 37 in the shade and in the 50,s in direct sunlight. Its mad but i love it. Limited internet access so no entries from me for a couple of weeks i dont think as only have my mobile
