what the best file size to use when resizing photos,im using  resize image which is making my photos squashed.

Just as I replied to your message. It might help if using Photoshop if you do a screenshot of the dialogue box when you are resizing so that we can see what options are ticker.

Hi Kevin,
It would help to know what editing software you are using to resize the image with?

And whether you are cropping the photos before resizing the image, with a constraint to set dimensions (example; 800x600) ? Rather than resizing unconstrained, where you only set one dimension (example; longest side set at 800 ) and accordingly retain the photographic aspect automatically.

I am not familiar with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic 8.1, but if you are using it to crop & resize (as the uploaded file data suggests) there maybe a Aspect Ratio lock that needs presetting  or resetting as part of that process for each individual shot you edit ?  :-\
