i've taken a few photo's on myD300 in TIFF, i have tried to view them on my pc straight from the camera and with a card reader but can't, i just get " there are no files in the drive", i have since taken some in jpeg and they are ok, any ideas?
Alan,
only thing I can think of is you don't have any software installed on your PC for viewing tiff files? Make sure you have the appropriate software installed, otherwise your PC won't see the files.
download irfanview. its free and pretty good plus will open raws

Daft question, but, you havent got "protect" set in the camera have you??
another thing to do is ensure youre using the most up to date version of the NX software which came with the cam. Also if you import into Aperture it should open them ok (if you have it)

I made sure about the protect thing yesterday and i don't know what the aperture thing is, is it a program?
Aperture is a programme yes. Have you enable "all" in play back menu ?
