Title: if they dont know
Post by: oRGie on October 29, 2009, 06:30:05 PM
Just having a nose through a 7D user manual and I found this...

"if the replacement card or existing folder already contains images recorded previously, the file numbering of the new images MIGHT continue from the file numbering of the existing images in the card or folder"

I think they overdid the AI in this camera lol, maybe if i ask it nicely  :legit:

Well, I can tell you why it might do this!

If the camera is set to continue the file numbering, then it might do. If its set to reset then it won't!

And it's only might because if the camera has a higher file number, then it won't continue from the cards number, but its own internal number, if its the same or lower, then it will!

But thats a lot of words for a manual - unless the author is on a Rate per word ! :)
