I'm struggling to find a clamp or something to hold stuff that I want to photograph such as flower stems etc etc.
What do you use?? and where did you get it from??
Thanks
Mike.
Buy?!!
For your purpose how about a clothes-peg fixed to the end of a stick (pencil) with glue or sticky tape. Sharpen the other end and stick it in the ground, or put a peg on that end as well and fix it to a tree. For smaller items do a similar thing with crocodile clips or the miniature clothes pegs you can get for holding Christmas cards. Cheap and so versatile...
Brilliant (and cheap!) suggestion with the clothes pegs.
I've also seen people making flash mounts from those large 'gator clips in a similar fashion.
If you really want to buy somthing try this http://www.warehouseexpress.com/buy-wimberley-the-plamp/p1005586
Looks like it should do the job.
Graham. :)
Thanks for the replies all, why didn't I think of pegs :-[
As a deluxe upgrade for the peg on a stick.....try a peg on a car aerial. Like a stick but it extends ;)
;D

Last peg on a stick like that cost me €30000. Of course it came with a free car...
