Title: Norton Internet Security 2010?
Post by: Mick on September 12, 2009, 03:25:25 PM
Anyone running Norton Internet Security 2010 yet?

I installed a new copy of NIS 2009 on my pc about a week or so ago, and when I look on the Norton site it tells me I qualify for a free upgrade to the latest version 2010.  In fact, I believe anyone with a valid subscription for 2009 will be legible for this free upgrade.

Just wondered if anyone was using it, and is it any good. Or had any problems with it.

Personally, if I get a new PC with Norton on - the first thing I do is take it off!

I find it too intrusive, resource hungry and not that good.

But I know others swear by it!

I agree with Mark. I have always had issues with it and would never pay for it again.

Hi Mark, hope you had a good Holiday.

I know what you mean re: Norton stuff, and have to say I felt the same prior to version 7 on wards.  8 and 9 have been really good on my systems, and they don't seem very resource hungry at all nowadays.

I've tried McAffee's, and some of the freebie ones over the years, but they have all let me down at some stage, ending in frequent formats.

Hi Mick,

Yes the holiday was good thanks - very relaxing. Weather was generally ok, some rain but a fair bit of sun as well, but it was Ireland! I've a couple of snaps on my website - more to sort out though!

Glad to hear Norton has inproved, still won't use it though!
