Finally got my first mirrorless camera - something I've shied away from because of the EVF being a bit crap and laggy. But it's all going that way and technology does improve with time.

So, I've had it since early March and have taken about 7600 shots with it.

Things to note:
1. File sizes are big - 45Mp sensor does that, so lots of storage required.
2. I'm still working on its features as there are alot!
3. Not all EF lenses work as well as others with the adapter - EF300mm f2.8 L is very slow at AF and hence frame rate for example - odd as it was for years the standard for fast AF!

EVF - is good - it does have a fast frame rate option which I've only really used at the slower option - when I next do BIF I will try at the higher setting as its quite easy to loose the bird.
I do love that you can have a grid and level and histogram - though the latter can be in the wrong place - though I have set the second screen option to include the level display which I do like particularly as I have a stigmatism and find it hard to see the level.

I have tended to use the EVF rather than the screen - but the screen does work well too - and has the same aid options.

What is hard to get used to, is that if you fully release the shutter button the image appears in the view finder. Keep it half pressed returns to live view.

Autofocus - is truly amazing - apart from thousands of AF points, which can be zoned, expanded and individually selected, there is an option to detect subjects, people, animals and vehicles (And none) and as long as you pick the right subject (Though people are also detected in the animal option but as a second priority) the AF is like a limpet. And it is possible with a flick of the thumb to switch to another subject if more than one are seen.

There is another ring on the 24-105 lens apart from focus and zoom - and that is configurable - I have it set to pick the AF mode - which I did like, though then did tend to lock the camera so that it wouldn't be changed by mistake along with some of the other dials - but shutter speed remained adjustable as well as others.

I would have preferred two CFExpress slots rather than one and one SD slot, but its fine - and SD cards are cheaper!

I did take a reasonable number of video's in Morocco - standard HD is very good, but changed to 4K as that was preferred by a friend who is doing a daily youtube video - but it also will shoot 8k.

Very easy to use - there is a dedicated button to start and stop it - and that works great - though I would have liked to have been able to take the odd still mid video - might be possible, but not found it yet. A decent still grab from the video is possible (Apparently!)

It is nice and light - which I do like - though it is fairly small in the hand - a grip is available which I may get in the future as I do like to hold the camera that way around.

Limitations.

EF lenses with IS don't work (Just the in body IS) I'm told - though I've yet to really prove this.
As I said some EF lenses don't work as well as others. Older ones seemingly are worse than newer ones, which is a shame given the cost to upgrade.
It's bloody expensive - though to be fair, I did use a RP which I hired by mistake - and it is a fabulous camera for the money - the AF being very good - just not as robust as the R5 and does have less features.

Oh I missed one thing. Battery life.

It ain't great! I bought a second battery and had one on charge in the car and one in use and did keep up with the usage - but for a days shooting of say motorsport, more batteries will be needed.

I don't think I got more than about 300/400 on a charge (But I haven't checked actual usage TBF) - my 1Dx3 lasts about 1000-1500 shots - so two batteries easily cover a days shoot.
