I recently added this photo to the towns Facebook page and it generated quite a heated debate / argument as to whether it is art or vandalism. I understand the points being made, but people got quite rude about it all. Reminds me why I stay away from Facebook.

Street art is seen as vandalism by some and free expression by others. I think a well drawn subject on a concrete wall is ok but, don't like tags and such, defacing buildings which isn't art by any stretch of the imagination. :o
I would agree Oldboy. Technically it is criminal damage, although on some walls and designated places it is permitted.
In Funchal old town they had a run down street. They decided to do it up in a regeneration program,me and invite artists to decorate the old doors in their own style. Many agreed to have their doors done straight away, others refused. That street is now the main road of restaurants attracting the most tourists and is a joy to see. I must have taken over 100 images of the artworks on show and aim to make a bigger compilation shot when I have time. In the meantime this is a small selection for the comp.
