Some things in life are so important that we just couldn't do without them - Something that makes life easier, something that helps you to relax or makes you happy, your favourite food......anything that you couldn't do without. Even if it is frivolous.

Sorry - nothing from me to come this week or next as I made the mistake of thinking travel was on again and am booked to go to the Canaries on Tuesday. A pre-departure test in the Canaries has now been added to our 2 day test when we get back here. Just praying we don`t end up isolating over there and paying a fortune for a prison cell type stay! No idea what test needs to be done out there yet but jumped through every other hoop so far.

You need to take a photo of a Lateral Flow Test :legit:
Seriously, I've had enough of this cr*p. We are travelling back to England tomorrow to collect daughter from university for Christmas, and tidy up the last few remaining things in my late father in law's house before we hand it back to the landlord. Got my suddenly required test this morning, which was lucky because announcing the requirement on a Saturday evening when almost everything in France is closed on Sunday and Monday was a purely malicious act. Filled in my PLF yesterday and got an email from the UK govt which says:

Providing proof of a negative coronavirus (COVID-19) testYou do not have to take a COVID-19 test before you travel to England if you qualify as fully vaccinated* and you have not been in a red list country."
They haven't even updated their own effing documentation.

If it`s only a photo of a lateral flow test why can`t you use an NHS one? Hard to believe they accept a lateral flow or PCR test. Obviously will go for the cheaper one. Already booked my day 2 return one.They say that it must be a bought one at a local facility so I am assuming we will need a certificate or proof of negative test o our phones. Evidently our hotel has a deal with a clinic next door for 50% reductions in price. How do they know the photo of the test is a result from you?
