ENTRY thread
EATING OUT . Seems that I`ve suddenly got back into going out for meal lately and realise how much I`ve missed them! Trusting you are able to do the same but if not Eating Out covers any food or eating occasion outside of your home. Might be a restaurant meal / ambience or a bbq in the garden. Anything to do with eating out processed any way you choose.
Pictures to be taken between now and Sunday 29th August 2021, but if you are struggling this week one from your archive is fine.
Pictures to be posted in the entries thread no later than 23:59 Monday 30th August 2021.
Poll will be up Tuesday 31st August 2021.
Winner to be announced Saturday 4th September 2021.

I don't understand how a poll for eating out, can be won with a picture of someone smoking, with no food visible? :doh:
It's the terrace of a restaurant. I'm guessing they have finished eating and are having a chinwag. If you want my picture disqualified that's fine by me - just trying to make up the numbers.

Exactly what I assumed. Deserved winner for me - always a bit subjective about whether images meet the brief

The contest was for eating out. As there is no food visible therefore, it can't be classed as eating out. Simple! :-\

I voted for your photo.
I can see the valid points that have been made about no food being visible, but for me it conjured up the image of friends getting together and eating out. Either waiting for food, or having finished.
Fine lines I guess and thats the beauty of photography, its open to interpretation and different people take different things from a photo.
