I did do an entry thread - Promise. Dunno where its gone though :(
Took one yesterday evening in a gap between lectures at an Astronomy day held at a local racecourse. A long day, didn't leave until gone 11pm. Extremely uncomfortable chairs, but dark in the lecture hall so couldn't take a picture to demonstrate their horrribleness.
I've just thought after seeing your image Howard, that I have a shot from Auschwitz that probably beats that!

I have never been there, I am told it is extremely moving.
We are planning to visit Oradour sur Glane, about a 3 hour drive from here, sometime this summer.
We went first thing in the morning - before the coach parties arrived and it was pretty odd - odd to hear the chains clanking from the nearby train yard when you are stood by a carriage used to bring in the people. Thought provoking.
I've also Been to Oradour sur Glane - well worth a visit - Not sure what state the cars will be in now, but they were slowing returning to the earth when we went 8 years ago (I've just looked and can't believe it was that long ago!)
