I had an email the other day basically saying you can borrow the new R5 camera to try for a couple of days.
Now. I'm not bothered about that but clicked anyway and it's not just that but lots of other bits of kit
So I've got coming in early April a 600mm f4 and not just for 2 days but for a week
And the cost? Nothing. Narda. Not even transportation. A refundable deposit is required of the thick end of £3k - but that's all

Actually I lied (Well can't read!) Its actually from 2nd April to 5th April (Delivery and collection the day before/after!)
But still 4 days to play over the bank holiday. Watch it leak down now. :-[
I've taken advantage of this again over Christmas - I've hired a Canon R1 and a EL-5 flash. It should have arrived on 19th December, but arrived on 16th - and goes back on 5th January.
The flash gun is insane - the recycle time is incredible as is battery life - and the camera. Well, I really hoped it wouldn't be much of an upgrade to the R3. And in many ways its not.
But it is in the important areas - the AF is just awesome - and now has pre-capture which although the pictures I have got with it have not been perfect (ISO51200 tends to be a bit noisy), but shows what it can do with some decent light.

I've also got a nice shot of the moon the other night too.

Well the camera and flash go back tomorrow. Its been lovely having the kit for so long - can really give it a try - not everything that I would want to do with it, but not bad - had some nice sunny days this year ( :2funny: ), though the cold has curtailed my cycling efforts so far :(
Got a few nice shots though:

I have since bought the flash gun - party to take some pictures of a friends grandkids and partly because I wanted one! No pictures as they are of the kids etc, but it did perform exceptionally well - the recycle time is crazy!
And I got £24 cash back as I had "hired" it!
