Post by: lurkalot on November 24, 2007, 10:38:22 AM
Anyone after a Cheap Remote shutter release, check out these at 7dayshop.

7dayshop Remote shutter release (http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/default.php?type=0&man=0&filterwords=7day+remote&comp=&r=20071123)

At under £7 for one for my 30D, I reckon it's worth a shot.  ;)

Mine arrived this morning.  Seems OK, just need to try it out.

Sure I had a camera somewhere.   :)

OK tried it out a few times and all works perfectly, the two stage release button seems positive, and the lock works nicely.   Only downside is the plug that fits in the camera, it's cheap and tacky, and you have to work out which way around to plug it in.

Well worth the money though IMO.  ;)

I got one of these off eBay and I am very happy with it but like you I found the connector to be a bit rubbish. Apparently Canon have a patent or some sort of protection on anyone else making an exact copy of the proper connector. Mine is about a year old and has been used quite a lot and is still working fine.
