Book Titles -Weekly competition 8th to 15th October 2017
This is the CHAT thread
The ENTRIES thread is here: https://cameracraniums.com/forum/index.php?topic=4966.new#new
Today I was kind. I`d thought of two themes - Death and Shopping - both grim and a little boring and limiting. I resisted Death even when gifted an image of a poor mouse caught in a trap after my kind little cat Joey had brought it home for us yesterday. Instead I have decided upon Book Titles. Give us what you have whether it be an amusing scene shot encouraging us to guess what the title might be, a depiction of a favourite classic or otherwise or what rests on your own shelves.
No restrictions on editing. Pictures to be taken preferably between now and Sunday 15th October 2017 23:59, OR please enter something from your personal archives.
Pictures to be posted in the entries thread no later than 23:59pm Monday 16th October 2017
Poll will be up Tuesday 17th October 2017 .

Finally got some shots yesterday morning - we shall see what comes of them.
Ever since I saw the challenge theme I have had 'The Naked and the Dead' and 'Earth, Air, Fire and Custard'* on the brain. Couldn't think of how to do either of those without being stupid. And then I went on to thinking about Consider Phlebus and the Bone Clocks. Surely there must be something simpler . .
*Tom Holt.
I`ve been laid up with my 2nd bout of cold / flu in a month and not got out for a planned shot. I`ve picked the first book I`ve seen which is one of my wife`s crap reads and looking for a shot to fit I`m afraid. Not what I had planned at all. Dentist at 10.10. They strike you off their NHS books if you don`t give 24 hours cancellation so cold germs on the dentist it is to be! Ah - Roddy Doyle book "Smile" will do me.
I'm in with The Bridge - an intriguing book by Iain Banks - probably my favourite author along with David Mitchell (no not the comedian) and Tom Holt. Sadly Iain Banks died rather too soon, but has left behind some wonderful books, especially science fiction - Consider Plebus is one of the best novels in the genre ever written IMHO, although many say it is another of his works, The Use Of Weapons.

Our house is full of books - we all read a lot, although different genres. Daughter is into Sarah J Maas big time, for me it's sci-fi and history (just finished reading Catastrophe about 1914, well worth a look) and SWMBO is in to classic literature, a lot of it French.
