I am hoping to see images created to represent a pub sign or a photo that represents a pub name. For example, a picture of a dog near a duck (The Dog & Duck), a cow lying down (The Lazy Cow). Gert the idea. If a plain photo isn't enough for the more creative ones amongst us, feel free to actually 'design' or 'create' a pub sign. There are no restrictions so be creative!

Great theme. Thinking of the Turk's Head but I can't find my scimitar! :2funny: :2funny: :2funny:
I like this one. Great challenge!!
Thanks. I wanted something different and fun.
There is a pub in our village called "the dying gladiator" Very unique but I think I have problems translating that into a picture.

Oh I don`t know - a bit of fancy dress and a dagger in your belly ;). I`ve never heard a pub with a name like that before - really unique. We`ve got the Myrtle and the bay Horsde which are a bit boring. there`s the True Briton too but not so straight foreward.

Is the True Briton up and running for the Brexiteers or truly a multi cultural inn :D ;) :2funny: :legit:
I think I might make a name up. Or maybe not, there are loads to choose from.

Last time I dared go in there it was like a BNP recruiting office with a load of foul mouthed , shaven headed thug like characters. I`d gone to watch Newcastle play on sky sports and it was near my old house and thought "Wonder what it`s like there?". Now that I know I won`t be going back .... unlkess I take a Union jack and ask a thug to pose under the sign. No.. I think not!
I might have to go for an archive shot this week as the best laid plans and all that . . there is a nearby transport cafe, and I was going to snap one or two of the trucks for 'The Hauliers Arms', but dammit they closed for a holiday on Wednesday.
Typical!
Nil desperandum, another opportunity presented itself this morning. To edit and post tomorrow :)
some lovely entries - thanks for taking part. This one really was just for the fun of it.
