Title: assistance appreciated

I maybe having a dense moment but I hope that some one will set my mind at easy. What is a thread ? Is a thread just a reply to a topic or am I totally wrong. Can some one please explain using small words. many thanks ::)

You're completely right.  ;)  Basically when you start a new topic, your actually starting a thread.

Topic = The Subject.
Reply to topic = Reply
Thread = An accumulation of replies in any topic.

Start a new topic, on a particular subject, then you (hopefully) get some replies, as a whole this becomes a thread.

Please don't be afraid to post, if it's in the wrong place, or you feel you've made some sort of mistake, then I'm sure one of the team, or members will come to your rescue.  :tup:
