CHAT THREAD VACANT Weekly competition 30 August - 7 September 2014
VACANT is this weeks topic. In all (both) possible meanings. From the stare, to the possession or property, or jobs even.
No restrictions on PP. (You may need all the help you can get, to fill that empty canvass.)
Pictures to be taken between posting time Saturday 30th August 2014 to 23:59 Sunday 7th September 2014.
Pictures to be posted in the entries thread no later than 23.59pm Monday 8th September 2014.
Poll will be up Tuesday 9th September 2014.
Winner to be announced Saturday 13th September 2014.

Post a topic on, or before the Sunday following your declared win
Create an entries thread
Create a chat thread
Create a poll for that weeks comp and declare the winner on the Saturday
(if for any reason there is a problem and no subject is posted by the winner by Monday night admin will advise second place winner to post the topic asap, do the poll etc.)
In case of a tie, the first entry posted wins.
Photos to be taken during the specified dates, ie date at which the new topic is set xx to Sunday xx

Not sure I can come up with something suitable, Daughter being here (who doesn't like me shooting).
Beaulieu tomorrow though, so I'll keep my eyes peeled. (I am allowed to shoot there.)

I set the theme, did the chat and entry threads and will set the poll; participating is not compulsory. But I won't let you down. I'll find something among the shots I took. I've got a back up I can use if nothing else comes up.

You did not get 'on my wrong side' at all! Don't apologise. I was merely stating a fact.
Don't think any of the shots I took today will fit, so I'll use my back up. Photography is not easy with Daughter around, who hates the sight of my camera.
After taking some arty shots of a dandelion head for a bespoke image for a customer, with all the seeds intact then having used a hairdryer to blow the seeds away, I was left with this now vacant dandelion head and though 'tada......' my vacant shot!

Reinardina, Jinky, thanks for your comments. We've moved to the US. Quite a big transition for all of us, but going great so far. Lucky I took that picture when I did as our container arrived yesterday and that room is now full of boxes!
Managed to cull a vacant shot from my Beaulieu images. Hadn't expected it, but this should just about do.
