As suggested this weeks theme will actually run over the Christmas period and will cover 2 weeks so look at the dates below.
Keeping in theme with this time of year this 2 week theme is to depict "A New Years Resolution",.
Any interpretation of the theme will be accepted, does not have to be your resolution but anything on that topic, the choice is yours.

Could have called it the 'Big Deceit,' or the Big Lie.'
Judging by all the exercise equipment on sale in February, lots of people give up one of their resolutions, before the month is out.
I normally don't make resolutions specifically for the new year; not even when I was still smoking, I never decided to quit on the 1st of January.
So I'll have to go for someone else's resolution, or make one up. And who knows, if I can think of a good one, I might even stick to it.
Reinardina, does not have to be your resolution just a depiction of one. here si one  (drink)
Just playing around on a family Christmas afternoon having some fun...
I will NEVER drink again!

Is that your resolution, or his?
not drank VB for a few years, that brings back memories. :)
I like this image. Says so much!
Speaks volumes.
Or is it 'volumes speak?'
I will try to do my image today. I have a few new gadgets I can try out. A waterproof cover for mycamera, so I can go outdoors. My extension tubes if I want to try a macro shot ans a ring flash that I have had for a while but not tried, if I want to do a still life. I love my still life's so will probably go for that!
Have first attempt taken - I really like it, so might stick with it. As it turned out, I used none of my new stuff. Will do my post processing and see how it looks, not sure I got the lighting quite how I wanted it though, that is my only issue.
Still trying to come up with an idea.
May do something around this funny stamp I have put on ebay to raise some dosh for Charity along with a bit towards some new gear

It's about time I de-rusted my brain a little. So, not so much a resolution as a desire to get some of the underused and missing bits of knowledge back into my cranial cavity.
Well, back to the office tomorrow, for a day, don't work Fridays so thought that i would try and get ahead of myself with a still life shot.
New Years Resolution is to give up eating Chocolate.

Just remembered that this is now a two week comp so still got a few days. ::)
Bit of a rush. Working ftomorrow and off on holiday on Friday.
I can't keep making excuses not to exercise, so I'm just going to have to man up and get on with it.

That's clever and very well done, those sneakers don't look very 'used' as yet!!

A bygone era
I love the laid back pose of this shot and the subtle personal note on the reverse; written up side down so that the nosey postman or unaddressed reader feels they have breached a privacy :) Magical days - It makes one wonder whether the stamp on the skew was placed in the rush or with a measure of precise thought. ;)
Romantic times.
Hard times now having to sell. :(
Got this idea when I stepped on the scales and saw the Christmas damage............My own feet and taken using remote shutter release
New Year, New Regime

Ha Ha Chris, I love how your toes are covering the numbers.
It was like when you are watching a scary movie - you cover your face and peep through your fingers. I covered the numbers with my toes and slowly lifted them to take a peek.

Welcome back Kerry and hope you had a merry Christmas and A Happy New Year to you.
Kerry, good to see you back, seen that you were alive via instagram, hope to see more of you on here. :)
Welcome back. Great to see you here again.
Thanks for the nice welcome back, does it matter that my picture don't get bigger when I click on it? It took me ages to remember how to just post it ?!
Ahhh it's ok now I got my son to sort it out!
Nothing from me this time. Life overtook me, and didn't leave time for photography.
