Voted for Jimthetrain, lenses & caps. Great idea & relevant to a photography Competition. No criticism intended but blacks could have been darker (same thing was said about my entry to freedom comp) but how do you acheive this in photoshop or Dpp without making the whole thing dark?

I do it by moving the black point. You can do this with a black point slider if your software has it, or if not with either the curves or levels adjustment layers.

DPP is Digital Photo Professional. It comes with canon cameras as a software package.

I went with the lens caps too.  I liked the conversion and it had a very good graphic  look to it that I liked.

However, I thought there was great originality shown this week - the lifesavers and the rubber bands I thought were terrific ideas.
