At the same time that we fed the Swans, etc. we visited the feeders - and this shows the conditions of poor light (so high-ish ISO), snowing and very windy

You're a braver man than me out in these conditions, far too cold. ;) Great shot though. 8)
That is a brilliant shot, you just have to feel for the out in those conditions.

Think you're right! There was a suet ball rammed down into the top of the post
