Title: Epson printer inks
Post by: Mick on March 10, 2013, 06:32:06 PM
This should go in the "What annoyed you today" thread, but it annoys me every day.  :knuppel2:

Epson inks, why so many different types? http://www.epson.co.uk/gb/en/viewcon/corporatesite/products/consumables

They all do the same job, they hold a thimble full of ink and clip into the printer.  So why don't these people just make one model of cartridge, and if they want to charge different prices then have,

Epson DURABrite inks small, medium, large, instead of confusing people with load of different named cartridges all at different prices some of which are for virtually the same amount of ink.  :knuppel2:

Discuss.  :)

Perhaps it would make life too easy for the people making compatible cartridges and it would also mean retaillers would not need to stock such a wide range. Together these two item would cause Epson sales to drop. As everyone should know a business runs on it's cashflow and reducing cashflow is no really on the cards. The alternative is Printer with a limited life at three times the price so I think we are stuck with the huge range of cartridges.....
