Title: Nintendo DSi
Post by: Mick on February 19, 2009, 09:45:06 PM
Just noticed there's a new Nintendo DS anounced, the DSi   8)

Nintendo DSi arrives in Europe on 3 April 2009. (http://www.nintendo.co.uk/NOE/en_GB/news/2008/nintendo_dsi_arrives_in_europe_on_3_april_2009_11627.html)  Some of the new features include,

"Skinnier than the DS Lite: The Nintendo DSi is 12% slimmer.

Two cameras: The DSi boasts a 0.3 megapixel digital camera for 640 x 480 pixel pictures, and a camera in the hinge that acts as a webcam. You can even edit pictures on the DSi touch screens!

Going to keep this quiet for a while, as my son will want one.   :D   Anyone else a DS fan?

My eldest keeps going on about them - she (And her sister) have the DSlite - but it seems that this is the latest must have!

Well, as far as I'm concerned it will remain on the wish list!

Same here Mark.  I need a new PC first, so he'll have to stick with his DSlite.   :D

Can't get him off the bloomin Xbox 360 anyway.

My Mrs got me a DS not so long ago for me to use when I'm away working. I've hardly ever used it as she and our 3.5 year old share it between them!

Must say though that some of the educational games are pretty good for the little fella.

Think I used the DSlite more than my Boy.  :D

Professor Layton and the curious village was pretty cool.  ;)

Have you guys tried the R4 card, I assume it fits in the lite version. Very useful money saving device ;) so i've been told, not that I would ever condone piracy.

We've not got an Xbox - but do have a Wee - and Wee board. Gets used every now and then - aught to do the excersises more - they do at least make you out o breath so it gives the cardio-vascular system a bit of a work out.

My niece got a DSi for her 9th birthday the other week, and I had a play. The camera is basic, but the fun you can have with the included software. Some of the images I took of my nephew and played with on the software was great fun! Still I am not planning to get one - yet. Priority is a new PC with Windows7 and a triple or quad core AMD Phenom first.
