I have noticed how our local cemetary is looking autumnal now, and I spend a great deal of time there at this time of year, watching and photographing the squirrels gathering their acorns. I find it so peaceful and comforting being there. Love Autumn.
A bit early here for the reds and golds, but I'll see what I can come up with.
I do have some old brown shoes somewhere ;)
Still very green here as well with bright new shoots poking up before the fields see the plough ;) Hopefully I will find a shot :)

I'll stick with parks, I figure some day I'll be spending far more time that I want in my local cemetery. ::)

Yes, but it's better to know the area before you become a permanent fixture! :2funny:
Sorry for such a morbid conversation.......

I was dead certain, I had a picture for the competition, but alas, both photos were taken just a week too early.
This is the one, I was thinking of. Made it for a different competition, and thought I could kill two birds with one stone, but no ... this is where the killing stops. At least on my part.
Hope to be back properly soon!

Hey, I may have an entry for this! I was out earlier this week and found a small pond near home that I never knew existed. If we ignore almost getting hit by a train, it was a good outing! I hope to go back and get down closer but I need a rope and perhaps some rappelling gear. I walked to look for a way down and could not find one.

Nothing from me for a week or so. Been helping daughter move into her first house of her own and my Virgin media box has broken down. Went on the offensive and now have to wait until next Monday when they will be supplying my new tivo box with 30 mbps broadband, free hub for wifi and existing services for less than I pay now. Result! Not be. Online much as limited to phone, decorating to do and acouple of shoots on. Back to normal next week. Good luck all!
Good luck Paul with the house move!
Our internet connection is supposed to get better over the next few days, and indeed, it is better now than it was yesterday, so fingers crossed.
I'm not quite back into competition mood, as I still have hundreds of photos to edit, but, colours I can do!
Mike you asked for the Colours of Autumn, so I give you the Colours of Autumn.
I'm in with this one:

OK here's mine. I have called it "Drifting Into Autumn". This is the image I set out to get and its exactly how I had hoped. The low sun has made the water like molten metal, the graduated light (for how I imagined it) is spot on and I (personally) really like it. Hope you do to.

I believe this is my first contest entry here. I have posted it (same as one above, except I did it as an attachment rather than a link). I also put it in the Gallery.
Autumn colour only just starting to come in the trees here, but today was pleasant enough for a stroll and a snapshot or two.
Welcome Donoreo. 10 entries so far, thats a really decent turn out. Game on. Good luck everyone.
Some great entries so far, thank you.
