It has been done before, I think, but not for some time. So I'd like to go back to a 'Black and White' competition.
Any subject, as long as the resulting picture is in black and white. And a multitude of greytones, of course.
Pictures to be taken between 00.01am Monday 10th September 2012 to 23:59 Sunday 16th September 2012 .
Pictures to be posted in the entries thread no later than 23.59pm Monday 17th September 2012.
Poll will be up Tuesday 18th September 2012.
Winner to be announced Saturday 22nd September 2012.
The Rules for the weekly competition are...
By entering you agree to take responsibility to
Post a topic on the Sunday following your declared win
Create an entries thread
Create a chat thread
Create a poll for that weeks comp and declare the winner on the Saturday
(if for any reason there is a problem and no subject is posted by the winner by Monday night admin will advise second place winner to post the topic asap, do the poll etc)
In case of a tie, the first entry posted wins.
Photos to be taken during the specified dates, ie Monday xx to Sunday xx
Pictures to be posted in the entries thread no later than 23.59 Monday night

If it's real Man Flu (and of course it is!), it won't be gone by tomorrow, so it'll have to be a shot of malt.
A good drink always doubles up!
Thought I`d use one of my Paralympian shots and play a bit.
Ali Jawad was such a nice bloke to talk to yesterday. Robbed of a silver medal by some cruel judging decisions he was given extra chances not once but twice when his appeals were successful. Unfortunately on the third attempt he did not quite make it. Even more tragically he had to pull out of Beijing Olympics when tipped to medal when he became ill and was later diagnosed with Crohn`s Disease. Didn`t give up and fought through it to powerlift in the 56kg class and should have got at least silver but for those decisions.

The background stories of the Paralympians are awe inspiring. An example to us all.
At least I'm not the first this week!
I'm going 'architectural' this week, with the side elevation of my local SeaCity Museum.

Resisting any post process boosting to concentrate on retaining the capture in atmosphere, I'm in with a summer's evening shot "Maize Haze"

Hi peeps
I have been about fully for a while but thought would make more effort to join in. Fortunately I was working near the Royal Albert hall when they were filming this period drama - Mr Selfridge to hit your tv screens next year, apparently- so I grabbed the camera and took some shots

This is another shot (back lit Willow Herb) that was in my pot this week and converted to B&W for consideration.

I just put up the poll for this competition (see Entries thread), can someone please add a bit of 'space' between the pictures?
Thanks.

Done. ;) Just added the image titles and a few more tags and spaces like this,
Dark Angel [br] [br][br]
Ali Jawad [br] [img]http://Ali Jawad [br] [br][br]
and so on. It's a bit of messing about, but it works.
Edit: Also added to front page poll block.
Thanks Mick. I'll try to remember it next time.
