I've had my 18-200 for a few months now and am fairly happy with it. The lens produces good images though depending on aperture some chromatic aberration at the edges is fairly strong. The Optical Stabilisation works very well and focus is quick and secure, though if you touch the focus ring there is a small amount of backlash that can cause slightly OOF images so hands well away from the focus ring please. There is a telephoto lock switch that stops the lens sliding out when you are walking though I don't use it as the lens is well enough made that it does not move anyway, I believe the Nikon 18-200 is quite bad for creeping and does not have a lock.
Anyone else got this lens that would like to share their experience.

I had this lens and hated it. When the OS kicked in, it really did kick in. I wasn't too happy with the images either. Wish I'd saved up and bought the Nikon. Got rid of it and put the money to a 18-50mm f2.8 (Sigma) which is a great lens.
