There was a recent poll to find the saddest songs that made most people cry....but what about those really depressing ones? Post your favourites here  ::)

Richard Thompson's always good for a laugh ...the Tom Robinson version from Beat The Retreat [great album]

As we always used to say, for music by which to slit your wrists: Leonard Cohen
(and despite being 77, just released a new album)

The entire output of Radio One since 1992, and anything from a televised holiday camp talent show....

Have to agree much of todays output is pretty dire - people talking in a strange way over a backing track that always soundes much the sames - and  regurgitated bland pap! I love Leonard Cohen but never really found him that depressing  :D

Most of the output from Radio 2 until about 7pm at night is worth listening too -  I've not listened to Radio 1 by choice for several years - pretty much when the DJ's migrated to Radio 2 :0
